Two problems, one book

Annotations. You know why you made that decision. Getting it onto the page is the hard part. You finish a folio page, you know the choice was deliberate, and then you write something that describes what anyone can already see. Keep this open beside your visual arts journal and the right words are there, so your annotations explain your thinking instead of just recording what you did.

The examination. In November you get artworks you have never seen. Memorising your own artists will not save you. Knowing the language well enough to use it on anything will, and that is what the questions in here train you to do.

What is in it

Most study design terms get an illustrated page, taken from the Target Learning classroom posters, with questions opposite. Over 200 of them. Command terms defined, so you know what describe, explain and compare actually want from you.

Whichever of the two studies you are doing, your section is in here. So is the shared vocabulary that sits across both, which is most of the language you will need.
